Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
— Albert Einstein

For most of our existence, humans have lived in a natural environment, so our bodies and how they function are well matched to natural settings. Forest Therapy builds on this capacity, utilizing the practice of Forest Bathing or Shinrin-yoku, allowing one to ‘take in the forest atmosphere’. In 1982, Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries noted that connecting with, immersing oneself in natural environments, and taking in the forest atmosphere improved overall physical and mental well-being.

Guiding you on the path to connection. As your Forest Therapy Guide, I “hold a space” for you to connect with natural settings. I look deep into nature, focus on sensory experiences, and engage and connect themes that naturally bring forth relaxation physically and mentally, improving your mood and general health. I walk along with you, supporting your experience as it unfolds.

Guiding group experiences. In the group setting, space is held for all to connect and ‘look deep into nature’, inviting each person to discover their own experience. It is synergistic. Along with improving general health and wellness, gathering together provides a special time, supports social connections, inspires and prompts sharing experiences, and mindfully enhances one’s mental and physical fitness.

Patience, acceptance, a beginner’s mind, letting go, gratitude, and kindness - a few attitudes brought forth by Forest Therapy.
